Do you want readers to feel totally immersed in the world of your story? This workshop will unlock some of the techniques that bring stories to life. Scenes are the building blocks of great
stories whether we're writing short fiction, novels, plays, or creative nonfiction, but sometimes we also need to summarize to move the plot along. When is it okay to summarize events and when
should we slow down and make a scene? What are the must-haves for great story design as we craft our scenes? In this two-hour workshop, we will consider these questions and more and we complete
generative writing exercises to try out various techniques.
