Sketching my Studio
My Christmas gift to myself in 2022 was several uninterrupted studio hours in which I documented my tiny home office studio.
Plein Air and Urban Sketching 2022-2023
I sketch on location as much as possible. I love participating in Urban Sketching meet-ups in Boston and Rhode Island, and I'm not shy about solo sketching on location around Central Massachusetts! I carry my sketching kit everywhere I go.
Around the House
When I can't get out of the house, I find things around the house to sketch!
Florals
There's a reason my instagram name is @dianepaintsflowers. When I first started painting, flowers were just about the only thing I painted! I still love painting them. I never get tired of their shapes and colors.
From Photographs
Every now and then, it just doesn't work out to paint from life, so I do occasionally turn to my phone for inspiration from my photo albums.
